Mission Statement

We care deeply to helping Cocker Spaniels & Cocker mixes finding their permanent, loving homes. Each dog deserves a second chance at a wonderful life even when their "best friend" gives them up the first time.

Available Dogs

CHARITY is an eight years old blind buff cocker girl and has had a very rough life. She was found after being tossed from a car. When she got to the shelter she was found to be infested with fleas, covered in hair so matted it made her uncomfortable and nails so long she could barely walk. The shelter groomed her and took care of flea problem.
Since she has been in rescue she has had a chemical ablation done on her eye to relieve the pressure from glucoma and had a much needed dental. Despite all she has been through Charity remains a happy, friendly girl who enjoys being around people. she is, however. cautious about being picked up by people she doesn't know- considering she was picked up and thrown from a car that is understandable.
Her blindness doesn't stop her from getting around the house and she is first in line at treat time.
CHASE was dropped off at a local shelter in terrible shape. He was matted, skinny and had a hugh wound on his chest where an effort had made been to cut his matts and he was cut instead. Instead of gettin medical care for Chase they took him to the shelter. He had to be sedated to shave him down and stitch up his wound. Since he has been in rescue he has filled out nicely.
Chase is a happy three year boy who will need time to know he willnot be mistreated. He will gladly exchange a forbidden article for a treat but prefers not to have things taken from him. For this reason he cannot go to a home with small children. His history with cats is unknown but he would probably enjoy chasing them.

SPARKY is a four year old cocker boy who ended up in a shelter after being hit by a car. Sparky has a broken pelvis and leg injuries and was treated for the injuries. He appears to have recovered from the injuries with no problems. When Sparky came here he was very thin but is filling in nicely.
Sparky is a good natured boy whose history with kids and cats is unknown.

RUBY-Ruby is about five years old and has an uncropped tail. Ruby came into rescue from a NJ shelter after she was picked up a stray. She was obviously on the run for some time as she was all skin and bones when we got her. She has begun to put on some weight, has been spayed and is now looking for a place to call home.
Ruby loves to play with her toys and will run up down the hall with a toy tossing up in the air and catching it just as happy as she can be. She does fine with the others dogs except at meal time when she will growl over her food. This is very understandable given how skinny she was when we got her.
Since she was a stray we don't know how she is with kids and cats.
