BEHIND THE SCENES:
Help with an inventory check before ordering supplies Order supplies Condiment purchases before and/or during the event Chop onions before and/or during the event Make some of those yummy baked goods Pick up donuts in the morning Help with an inventory check after the event is over Collect & cash in the returnable cans & bottles Inspect the Wagon for problems Report any problems found Clean the Wagon before use Paint the Wagon, if necessary Move the Wagon to the event's location Prepare sign-up sheets for volunteers Prepare posters for the Wagon Prepare price signs for the Wagon
AT THE WAGON OR CHURCH:
The Wagon Coordinator:
Is responsible for the Wagon’s overall operation Schedules the volunteers into shifts Applies for required permits Handles reported issues of concern from volunteers
The Shift Leader:
Is responsible for the Wagon’s operation on their shift Determines which supplies must be replenished Supplies the Runner with a list of items needed Decides which supplies the runner should purchase Reports issues of concern to the Wagon Coordinator
The Cashier:
Is our "Welcoming Committee" Takes & relays orders to the Cook & Beverage Person Tallies orders & makes change Keeps Shift Leader aware of the cash drawer's status
The Beverage Person:
Pulls beverages out of coolers to fill orders Keeps beverage coolers organized and well-stocked Prepares coffee, decaf, tea and cocoa Keeps coffee and decaf available Keeps Shift Leader aware of need for beverages & ice
The Bun Person:
Works side by side with the Cook Sets up hot dog trays for the Cook Keeps a supply of prepared trays ready at all times Dispenses meat sauce Distributes hotdogs to customers at Pick Up Window Keeps Shift Leader aware of need for supplies
The Runner:
Restocks supplies from church using Shift Leader’s list Purchases items from store, as specified by leader Keeps coolers stocked with ice (from A&W) Keeps the condiment table clean & restocked Keeps Shift Leader aware of need for supplies
The Cook:
Always follows Dept. of Health regulations Prepares hotdogs, sausages & sauerkraut Maintains a supply of hot dogs, sausages & sauerkraut Fills orders as relayed by Cashier Keeps Shift Leader aware of need for supplies
The Clean Up Crew:
Washes pots, utensils & crock pots Stores perishables in the refrigerator
