GARAGE SALE A HUGE SUCCESS
IN MANY WAYS
submitted by Carolyn Fish

Thanks to the work of many hands the Garage Sale was a success, despite the weather on Sunday! Special thanks to those who gave up their valuable time on Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday to assist with the kitchen, the Hot Dog Wagon and/or the Garage Sale: Rose and Donna Dolan, Kathy Moffit, Marlyn Bray, Debbie Tatro, Ann Davran, Andy and Joy deLagarde, Grace Hanneford, Peachie Lockhart and her grandchildren, Hillary and Maureen, Jackie Bovair, George and Claire Stahler, Betsy Birchenough, Peter and Patti Heslin, Barbara Mitchell, Ellie Strack, Charlie Tuttle, Bette Blunt and Grant Fish II.

Thanks to Tracey Clothier for scheduling workers for the Hot Dog Wagon despite her illness and to Sue Blondin for purchasing supplies for the wagon before attending Adam's college graduation. Julie [McPartlin] deserves a medal for going above and beyond her duty by working on Friday to clean and set up the wagon and selling hot dogs on Saturday! A warm appreciation to Mr. Masseri who donated boxes and more boxes of new clothing for the sale and the Thrift Shop, thanks to Barb Mitchell for mentioning us to him. A big thanks to Bonnie [Allen] and Julie [McPartlin] for being patient with the many phone calls from interested vendors - it paid off! Thank you to those who donated food for the kitchen and to our many family, friends and acquaintances for donating their garage sale items which makes it all possible. A very special God Bless You to Grant [Fish] for always being there to help! Thank you to all who helped in any way large or small and to those who were unable to help this year, we hope you will join us next year. The Garage Sale is not just a fundraiser, but it is an opportunity to work together as a church and provide a service to our community in more ways than one.

The results are in: The Hot Dog Wagon ($574) and the kitchen ($345.35) before expenses. Garage Sale: vendor spaces ($900), our 3 booths ($720.55), Bag Sale, the following Saturday ($159.70). Expenses for the sale include: publicity ($102.82), garbage bags ($11.74), sign rental ($30) and postage (approximately $32).

Thank you to the Lake George Garden Club and to Tom Scheideler for the $25 donation after the sale of Clem Scheideler's compost bin at the Garage Sale. Clem was a beloved member of the Garden Club and St. James' and donated many hours of service to both organizations. She is truly missed by us all!
