         Over fifteen years of experience working closely with a wide variety of corporate and government clients on highly visible projects, most often on tight budgets and schedules.

         Excellent communication and presentation skills have ensured that each project's goals and objectives were clear up front and remained on track until completion.

Professional Experience

MORRISSON THEATRE, CASTRO VALLEY, CA  2003-PRESENT

         Shop foreman and resident prop master. Provide supervision and training to paid and volunteer construction crews. Manage prop rental program, and currently developing a Web site to increase the theatre's prop rental business. Designed set for January 2005 production of "A Grand Night for Singing."

FREELANCE DESIGNER & CONSULTANT, CLIFTON PARK, NY  2001-2003

         Projects included design consultation for Wendel-Duchscherer Architects & Engineers, Albany, NY, on a lighting project for the New York State Museum, and coordination of construction documents for Adirondack Scenic, Inc. on a design project for Foxwoods Casino.

ADIRONDACK SCENIC, INC., GLENS FALLS, NY  1996-2001

         Project Manager: Prepared and negotiated proposals, contracts, budgets, and schedules for a wide variety of design and fabrication projects in the U.S. and overseas. Coordinated the work of in-house departments with vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure work was completed on time and on—or under—budget. Reviewed and approved drawings, submittals, and samples, and participated in sourcing and purchasing process.

         Department Manager: Created and organized new design studio, including budgets, operational procedures, presentation and CAD standards, and marketing and promotional materials. Supervised in-house professionals and outside consultants on numerous concurrent and overlapping projects. Developed proposals, budgets, and schedules for a variety of theme park, theatrical, television, and restaurant designs. (more)

EINHORN YAFFEE PRESCOTT, ALBANY, NY  1986-1995

         Consultant: Developed programmatic and space planning information for three county government and courthouse projects, including overall conceptual schedules and budgets.

         Planner and Designer: Frequently assisted Marketing Department to identify and solicit potential clients and commissions. Prepared proposals, programs, and designs for interior architecture projects throughout New York State and Washington, DC. Negotiated contracts and project schedules, and supervised the work of in-house designers. Created a long-range space programming system used on projects ranging from a few thousand to over 900,000 s.f. (more)

JOHN HANCOCK FINANCIAL SERVICES, BOSTON, MA  1984-1985

         Facilities Planner and Designer: Prepared plans and furniture/equipment specifications for corporate offices in the John Hancock Tower and several ancillary buildings.

DIGITAL EQUIPMENT CORPORATION, MAYNARD, MA  1981-1983

         Corporate Facilities Designer: Developed and prepared designs and construction documents for corporate sales and service offices throughout the United States and in Canada. Planned and designed prototype facilities for two new corporate ventures. (more)
