Caffe Lena - Dec 27 1997. Dec. 27, 1997.
He came late, calmly; he was GREAT. WOW.
It was a dynamite performance. He presses his cheek onto the guitar and urges the blues from the instrument.
After the show he did a tour of the other shows in town, the Parting Glass, 1 Caroline, ...; then he came back to say goodnight as we were finally leaving after cleaning and setting up for the next night.  He drove off in a "vintage" chevy - some would call it classic some call it old.
  Folks who had seen him year after year say he always plays different songs "never" repeating.  What a repertoire.  "He's a hard working musician."
