When I see a plant in my retail nursery blooming during May I'll place a previously photographed picture on this page that when clicked will open a larger picture with more information. My left hand holding the flower can give you a size comparison. If the thumbnails don't open click here.
Pinxterbloom
Azalea or Rhododendron nudiflorum also called Rhododendron

'Aucubaefolia' or 'Dappled Dawn' Lilac has variegated gold and
green leaves and double blue flowers supposedly a sport of
'President Grevy'.
'Father
Hugo's Rose' or Rosa hugonis
'Ludwig
Spaeth' Lilac is a fine dark purple lilac introduced around 1880.
This picture shows it blooming in our fields. We usually have 5
or 6 at the plant sale in 7 gallon pots for $30. If you nead a
bunch let me know in March because we have to dig them before
they leaf out.
Syringa

Syringa

double flowered Syringa vulgaris so named because the first one
was introduced by the Lemoine Nurseries in Paris. Even this more

that original double.
